THE RULES ARE THUS:
1. WHAT MAKES A NON-CANON SHIP? Anything that is not at least one-sided in the books. This means that Snape/Lily is canon, even if she may (or may not) have ever reciprocated. Bellatrix/Voldemort is canon. Lavendar/Ron is canon. Obviously everyone who's married and/or dates is canon. OBHWF is canon, Harry/Cho is canon. Ships that are not stated as fact in the books are not canon. That means UC ships are good, slash is good, femslash is good. For our purposes, we are not counting JKR's interviews as canon. That means that if you wanted to prompt, say, who knows, Hannah/Neville, you could, because it's not in the text itself.
2. You leave a comment with a pairing and a prompt. You respond to prompts that you like. Your prompt must pertain to a non-canon ship. You may specify a character within that ship if you want the fic written from that characters perspective. You may also specify a timeline if you'd like, or if you want it to take place in the movie!verse.
3. When writing fic, put in your title SHIP - TITLE OF FIC (rating optional). This will help us archive if we later archive things. I don't have time to archive anything right now, but if someone wants to volunteer, we can make that happen.
4. LEAVE FEEDBACK. Comments are the lifeblood of the internet.
5. NO WANK. I'll delete your ass. And we're dealing with ships and I am deletion happy, so watch yourself.
6. There will be spoilers for the movie all over this post, I am sure. You have been warned.

Ron doesn't even blink at it; Neville squinches his eyebrows together in slight confusion and leaves it alone; Ginny puts together a few sordid lines and the whole thing's forgotten by the end of the summer.
But Harry doesn't forget it, and when the flat is quiet, late, late at night, he looks at the words stuck to the fridge and frowns. He picks out a few and strings them together.

Then he climbs into bed, Ron quietly snoring in his, across the room.
In the morning (almost afternoon) when Hermione's gone to work, Neville's gone to his greenhouse, and Ginny and Ron are off at practice, Harry shuffles around the flat in his pajamas and stops in front of the fridge, steaming mug of tea in hand.

The words are right under his from the previous night.
Harry tends bar in a local Muggle pub, and before he heads off to work late that afternoon, he drags more words together, underneath the new ones.
you wake the universe
When he stumbles home from work, reeking of smoke and liquor, he decides to forgo brushing his teeth but checks the side of the fridge, smiling and tracing the new words with his fingers.
always dazzle every morning
Snorting a quiet laugh, Harry realizes that Hermione would know how to convey sarcasm through magnetic squares on a fridge.
Making his way down the hall toward the bathroom, Harry tries very hard not to hear the muffled noises coming from the room Ginny and Neville share. He knows they enjoy late-night fucking. Gin always did when they'd been together. She liked the sound of their voices under the blankets, in the utter darkness of their room.
Stopping in front of Hermione's room, he rests his palm on the door, his forehead a moment later. He hears nothing but his own breath and, before he can reach for the door handle, he retreats to the bathroom to wank before bed.
He forgets to put new words together for Hermione in the morning, but finds them there for him when he wakes.
we dance less than before
Harry smiles sadly and thinks about what he should reply for the length of his shower and breakfast. His ears burn as he carefully picks out each word. He's late for work because it takes him forever to find the last sodding pronoun.

Date: 2010-11-28 11:01 pm (UTC)When he sits down next to her, she awakens easily -- they all do after being hunted for so long. "Hi, Harry," she mumbles, rubbing the heel of her hand through her eyes. "How was work?"
"Lovely," Harry says with a smile. "Broke up a fight. Was hit on by an enormous drag queen."
Hermione pushes herself up and drops her feet to the floor. "You have all the fun."
Harry had also served himself three shots of Jameson before walking home. He is fearless when he pulls the book from her lap, touching her thigh with his knuckles. Then he pulls her to her feet and into his arms. "Is there something you want to ask me?" he murmurs into her hair.
She hooks her chin over his shoulder and twines their fingers together. "Well, you seem to have read my mind."
They sway together in silence for several moments, Hermione touching her lips to his throat with what might be kisses, until Ginny shuffles out of her room and into the loo. Harry only spots the back of her head before she disappears inside, but he draws away from Hermione, heart pounding. Old habits are hard to break.
Hermione looks up at him, unsure. Then she looks quickly way, drawing in a steadying breath. "There's talk of a night out tomorrow, if you're off. Neville made a big sale, and Ginny wants to celebrate. Good night, Harry."
"'Mione-" His hand trails after her, but she's gone, the swift sound of her retreating flip-flops the only indication that she was there at all. He turns on the spot and walks to the wall shared with the next flat over and thunks his head hard against it. "Bollocks."
The message in the morning is rushed, almost indecipherable, but Harry is heartened by it, feels warm inside, excited.

He is, in fact, off that night, Thursday, but he pieces together a response, anyway.

Then, because, he had woken up early in hopes of catching her before she went off to work, Harry goes back to bed for a nap. He loves sleeping in an empty flat, with only the sounds of other peoples' running toilets and fridges for company.
When he awakens, it's because he knows something has changed, something is off. He reaches for his glasses and his wand in the same motion, blinking his room into focus. The first bit that's off are the two magnetic words sitting on his night stand. The second is Hermione sitting on Ron's bed, still in her work robes.
"I came home early," she blurts. "And I didn't mean to watch you sleep for so long, only, you're so bloody lovely when you do it."
"'S okay," Harry mumbles, the fog of sleep rapidly retreating, at the word 'lovely.' He glances at his clock, the hands marking all other members of their household still 'at work.' "I figure we've got at least two hours."
Hermione nods and rises to her feet, toeing off her shoes and shedding her robe on the way to his bed. He lifts his blanket for her, and when she climbs in, their eyes meet a moment before he lifts his head off his pillow to kiss her.
His glasses go back onto the nightstand, along with both their wands, right next to the words
