Harry Potter Non-Canon Ships Comment Ficathon

THE RULES ARE THUS:

1. WHAT MAKES A NON-CANON SHIP? Anything that is not at least one-sided in the books. This means that Snape/Lily is canon, even if she may (or may not) have ever reciprocated. Bellatrix/Voldemort is canon. Lavendar/Ron is canon. Obviously everyone who's married and/or dates is canon. OBHWF is canon, Harry/Cho is canon. Ships that are not stated as fact in the books are not canon. That means UC ships are good, slash is good, femslash is good. For our purposes, we are not counting JKR's interviews as canon. That means that if you wanted to prompt, say, who knows, Hannah/Neville, you could, because it's not in the text itself.

2. You leave a comment with a pairing and a prompt. You respond to prompts that you like. Your prompt must pertain to a non-canon ship. You may specify a character within that ship if you want the fic written from that characters perspective. You may also specify a timeline if you'd like, or if you want it to take place in the movie!verse.

3. When writing fic, put in your title SHIP - TITLE OF FIC (rating optional). This will help us archive if we later archive things. I don't have time to archive anything right now, but if someone wants to volunteer, we can make that happen.

4. LEAVE FEEDBACK. Comments are the lifeblood of the internet.

5. NO WANK. I'll delete your ass. And we're dealing with ships and I am deletion happy, so watch yourself.

6. There will be spoilers for the movie all over this post, I am sure. You have been warned.

Helga Hufflepuff/Salazar Slytherin - we're really not that different

OH HI THERE, FRIEND! 8D Fancy seeing you here~

I wrote this first before I even realized it was you who requested the prompt. XD; I must warn you, I haven't written in the HP fandom since I was like 15 and even then I've never written these characters. Soooo, this might suck. I can't tell. I'm sorry if it does.

She grips her fist into his robe. "And what do you suggest we do with them? Enslave them?"

Salazar stares down his nose and smirks deliciously, licks his lips for an answer. She can tell by the way his eyes sparkle that he is half teasing her (only half, because he really does feel this way, deep down). "Precisely."

Helga launches into a tirade. She threatens, quite unladylike, to retrieve Godric's sword from wherever he's hidden it and shove it right through Salazar's stomach. He can't help but laugh and this only infuriates her more, so much more that her wand is suddenly at his throat and Salazar forgets to breathe. "What are you doing?"

It is her turn to grin now as she flattens him up against the newly built castle walls (Hogwarts is massive, is cold and dark and utterly perfect; perfect except for Salazar Slytherin and his intolerable cruelty and distaste for everything the three of them have worked for, in spite of him). Her eyes stay fiercely pinned to his, anger and frustration all bleeding out into the tight grip up her wand. Sometimes she would like to kill him, rid them of this horrible inconvenience that makes building a school take much longer than she'd like (she's always been impatient and she thinks he takes advantage of that in order to egg her on, like some kind of game), but then she'd be no better than him, really. And that wasn't the point of all this.

The grin returns to Salazar's face, eyes trailing lazily down the length of her wand. "You know, we might actually be friends if you didn't hold on to Godric's silly ideals."

"Fuck you," she spits and he laughs. It makes her insides churn and she grips her wand harder, presses her face up close to his and prepares the threats, but she notices his green eyes looking directly into hers, his mouth slightly open, and suddenly, suddenly-

And suddenly she's kissing him, or he's kissing her; somewhere in the fury the lines got blurred, but Helga holds on to several defining facts. It is a fact that her wand somehow slipped out of her hand, her hand that is now fisted in Salazar's hair. It is another fact that his hands somehow made it to her face and their tongues in each other's mouths and she can feel him grinning as he nibbles on her lip and it infuriates her, absolutely drives her mad, but then his hands trail further down towards her waist and Helga forgets that anger was ever an emotion she felt towards this man.

They will discuss the Muggles in the morning.

omg SAME. Haha, I was like, "omg someone replied to my prompt!" and then it was YOU and eee.

Helga being pissed off and threatening and ideological is great, and a perfect contrast to Salazar's nonchalant teasing. I love this! I LOVE YOU.

That last line is amazing. XD

This little story makes me really intrigued by the Founders. How did that all go?

But that aside, good story for not having written in awhile. :) Very good.
