Harry Potter Non-Canon Ships Comment Ficathon

THE RULES ARE THUS:

1. WHAT MAKES A NON-CANON SHIP? Anything that is not at least one-sided in the books. This means that Snape/Lily is canon, even if she may (or may not) have ever reciprocated. Bellatrix/Voldemort is canon. Lavendar/Ron is canon. Obviously everyone who's married and/or dates is canon. OBHWF is canon, Harry/Cho is canon. Ships that are not stated as fact in the books are not canon. That means UC ships are good, slash is good, femslash is good. For our purposes, we are not counting JKR's interviews as canon. That means that if you wanted to prompt, say, who knows, Hannah/Neville, you could, because it's not in the text itself.

2. You leave a comment with a pairing and a prompt. You respond to prompts that you like. Your prompt must pertain to a non-canon ship. You may specify a character within that ship if you want the fic written from that characters perspective. You may also specify a timeline if you'd like, or if you want it to take place in the movie!verse.

3. When writing fic, put in your title SHIP - TITLE OF FIC (rating optional). This will help us archive if we later archive things. I don't have time to archive anything right now, but if someone wants to volunteer, we can make that happen.

4. LEAVE FEEDBACK. Comments are the lifeblood of the internet.

5. NO WANK. I'll delete your ass. And we're dealing with ships and I am deletion happy, so watch yourself.

6. There will be spoilers for the movie all over this post, I am sure. You have been warned.

He dreams of silver and blood.

She blinks in and out of his thoughts, wide-eyed and mouth open in a scream that his aunt never managed to rip out of her (but she tried; Merlin, did she try). It's worse with her, though he doesn't know why. He can forget the others, tell himself that it didn't matter. But the nights when Bellatrix dragged her out of the basement (always by her hair), threw her to the floor, and fired off curse after curse . . . he'll never forget it. Never forget the stubborn set to her chin, never forget the tight press of her lips together, never forget the single, solitary accusatory stare.

Save me was never said, never begged, but it was expected.

After things are done, after He is dead and everyone's crying and dancing-he looks for those accusing eyes. Everyone seems happy to excuse him, to pardon him his behaviour and lack of action. Couldn't be helped they'd say, like he isn't in the room, a rock and hard place, you understand?

He doesn't want them to understand; he doesn't want their compassion. He wants the condemnation in her gaze, wants the judgement burning brightly in those silver eyes. He needs it like he's never needed anything before in his life.

There's no point.

She's completely at ease, utterly dispassionate while talking to him. Sometimes, it's like she looks right through him. If it was part of her anger towards him, an action born of disgust at the mere sight of him, he would excuse it, understand it. But it's not like that; she just doesn't care enough to have a reaction.

Vengeance is a lot like Sleakeazy. Nice going on, gets the job done for the night, but impossible to reproduce on your own. Plus, it leaves a sticky mess the morning after and it's hard to wash off your hands.

It's ridiculous; she's ridiculous. But she's also never given into another person at the expense of who she is. She didn't do it under the knife; she won't do it now to feed his self-hate.

You shouldn't come here anymore. It isn't going to happen.

He wonders if you can be haunted when it's you that's the ghost.

i loved this more and more with every passing word. wow, amazing work. this is an incredible imagining of how things could have been for them in the aftermath. i love luna's strength; the last line and "a rock and a hard place, you understand?" were also some of my favorite parts. thanks for writing!
