(A/N- I didn't know if you wanted it romantic or not, so I just kind of made it in between (: Hope it's okay! Sirius is probably a little OOC, because I don't write him often.)
"Damnit, Sirius!" Remus closed his eyes tight and tried to recite the Ten Commandments in his head to keep him from screaming something worse at him.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Sirius cocked his head to one side. "Damnit me? Damnit you! You're the one that thinks just because we're not at the Shrieking Shack that you can go all 'Mr. Hero' on me and vanish the week of the full moon!" His voice betrayed annoyance more so than anger, and if it hadn't been such a serious situation Remus would have laughed. Ironically, Sirius Black was easily annoyed. "Just stay in the cellar here; it's there for a reason!" The urge to laugh was gone.
Thou shalt not bow down to any graven image.
"Yes, for storing wine and holding extra guests! Not for housing dangerous werewolves without Wolfsbane!" Sirius chuckled, and the Word of the Lord was forgotten at the sound. For once it was probably for the better.
"First: Cut the 'I'm so dangerous!' crap. It's not working on Tonks-," Remus cringed at the name - some people just couldn't take a hint! "-and it's not working on me. Now I know you're not trying to get rid of me, and by golly, Remus, what'd'ya think that cage is for?" For a second Remus was dumbstruck.
"You actualy have a cage down there?... For me?"
His friend looked at him sarcasticaly. "No, for storing the ladies while I buy groceries- yes, for you!" The ex-professor smiled ever-so slightly.
"So... you were planning on me staying?" Sirius shuffled his feet.
"Well, yeah, I mean... you're my best friend, and I'm your best friend, and-," He stopped mid-sentence, a look of anxiety suddenly on his face. "I am your best friend - right?"
At this, Remus chuckled. "Yes, of course!" Pause. "So you really want me to stay, Padfoot?" Remus asked softly, his voice barely audible over the chirping birds outside.
Sirius' face lit up with a toothy little smile, and Remus felt the heart inside of him beat just a little bit faster. This was a feeling Tonks could never give me. Remus smiled. "More than anything, Moony."
