Re: harry/hermione - my heart is holding onto you

Forgive me for jumping on the comment!train, here, but a.) this conversation about the epilogue and Ginny post-DH is so interesting and RIGHT ON, and b.) I was just reading the comments on the Moviefone article (which I adore and I think is spot on) and there is a comment with my top pet peeve argument against H/Hr:

That they would be a boring couple.

I just. GOD. I totally get it if you ship R/Hr because it's a version of love that you believe (it's not the version of love that *I* believe in, but that's fine), but to argue that H/Hr would be boring is so unbelievably silly. Why are R/Hr a more interesting couple -- because they fight? Would H/Hr be boring because it would be filled with quiet moments of trust and love and discovery and compassion? I'm admittedly probably a few years older than many of the commenters, and I would hate to burst anyone's grand ideas of how love manifests itself after a few years of marriage, but true, deep love is pretty...quiet and calm. Because it doesn't need to be loud and interesting. Because real love just...is.

That turned into a rant and I'm totally interrupting your guys' conversation, so...sorry LOL. Those article comments just got me going.
