Harry Potter Non-Canon Ships Comment Ficathon

THE RULES ARE THUS:

1. WHAT MAKES A NON-CANON SHIP? Anything that is not at least one-sided in the books. This means that Snape/Lily is canon, even if she may (or may not) have ever reciprocated. Bellatrix/Voldemort is canon. Lavendar/Ron is canon. Obviously everyone who's married and/or dates is canon. OBHWF is canon, Harry/Cho is canon. Ships that are not stated as fact in the books are not canon. That means UC ships are good, slash is good, femslash is good. For our purposes, we are not counting JKR's interviews as canon. That means that if you wanted to prompt, say, who knows, Hannah/Neville, you could, because it's not in the text itself.

2. You leave a comment with a pairing and a prompt. You respond to prompts that you like. Your prompt must pertain to a non-canon ship. You may specify a character within that ship if you want the fic written from that characters perspective. You may also specify a timeline if you'd like, or if you want it to take place in the movie!verse.

3. When writing fic, put in your title SHIP - TITLE OF FIC (rating optional). This will help us archive if we later archive things. I don't have time to archive anything right now, but if someone wants to volunteer, we can make that happen.

4. LEAVE FEEDBACK. Comments are the lifeblood of the internet.

5. NO WANK. I'll delete your ass. And we're dealing with ships and I am deletion happy, so watch yourself.

6. There will be spoilers for the movie all over this post, I am sure. You have been warned.

Wow, thank you so much! I agree that Harry/Luna is a rarely-done-well ship; I think because Luna falls so easily into caricature and Harry just does his Harry-herp-derp thing around her. Next task: how to get Harry to fall for Luna!

First off, *FLAIL* at the pairing! I really thought I was like, the lone person out there who ever wrote these two together! This is a "deleted scene" from one of my fics, if you will, but it stands alone as well!


"Merlin."

Fleur glanced down at her silvery dress, then back up at Cedric. A small, coy smile played at the edge of her lips, and her blue eyes were alight with mirth. "Quoi?"

Cedric swallowed and drug his gaze back up to her lovely face, simply shaking his head. "Merlin, Fleur…"

She laughed softly and crossed the room to him, the shimmery fabric of her dress swirling around her legs as she did so. Reaching out, her lithe fingers adjusted his bow tie, and there was a touch of pink in her cheeks when she looked up at him. "Your jaw, eet is dropping, Cedric."

"Can you blame me?" His fingers encircled one delicate wrist and brought her hand up to his face. Gaze locked on hers, he pressed a warm kiss to her soft palm. "You're stunning."

"Tu es trop mignon, mon ange," she murmured. Twisting her wrist, she laced their fingers together, squeezing softly as she leaned in to press her lips against his.

His free hand went around her waist, drawing her tightly against him. His tongue traced the seam of her lips, deepening the kiss when they parted beneath his. Everything about her—her touch, her scent, her taste—drove him to distraction.

"Mmm, non, we cannot," she whispered, pulling back to whisper softly. "You 'ave zat girl, and Roger ees waiting for me."

He scowled at the mention of Roger bloody Davies, Fleur's escort for the evening. "Did you have to ask him?" he queried, almost petulantly. It was bad enough watching the Ravenclaw prance about on a normal day, and since Fleur had asked him to escort her to the Yule Ball, he'd been nearly insufferable.

"Je crois que non, but you 'ad already asked your friend, remember?"

"Only because you said we should keep this—us—a secret."

Fleur's lips twitched downward, and she reached up to cup his cheek gently. "Eet ees for ze best, Cedric," she murmured. "Until after ze tournament, d'accord?"

With a sigh, Cedric leaned in to press one final kiss to her lips. "You're lucky you're so beautiful," he reminded her, "and that I'm a patient man."

"Yes, you are a very good 'Ufflepuff," she said with a laugh, pulling away. As she started towards the door, she glanced back over her shoulder and blew a kiss at him. "Do not forget to save a dance for me, mon ange."

"Like I could forget you," he replied with an easy smile, holding her gaze until she slipped out of the dormitory. As soon as she was gone, it disappeared from his face, and he sighed once more. Now, the evening's agenda was two-fold: keep Cho from expecting more from him than he was willing to give, and to not kill Davies from putting his hands on Fleur.

"Easier said than done," he muttered.
