Harry Potter Non-Canon Ships Comment Ficathon

THE RULES ARE THUS:

1. WHAT MAKES A NON-CANON SHIP? Anything that is not at least one-sided in the books. This means that Snape/Lily is canon, even if she may (or may not) have ever reciprocated. Bellatrix/Voldemort is canon. Lavendar/Ron is canon. Obviously everyone who's married and/or dates is canon. OBHWF is canon, Harry/Cho is canon. Ships that are not stated as fact in the books are not canon. That means UC ships are good, slash is good, femslash is good. For our purposes, we are not counting JKR's interviews as canon. That means that if you wanted to prompt, say, who knows, Hannah/Neville, you could, because it's not in the text itself.

2. You leave a comment with a pairing and a prompt. You respond to prompts that you like. Your prompt must pertain to a non-canon ship. You may specify a character within that ship if you want the fic written from that characters perspective. You may also specify a timeline if you'd like, or if you want it to take place in the movie!verse.

3. When writing fic, put in your title SHIP - TITLE OF FIC (rating optional). This will help us archive if we later archive things. I don't have time to archive anything right now, but if someone wants to volunteer, we can make that happen.

4. LEAVE FEEDBACK. Comments are the lifeblood of the internet.

5. NO WANK. I'll delete your ass. And we're dealing with ships and I am deletion happy, so watch yourself.

6. There will be spoilers for the movie all over this post, I am sure. You have been warned.

There are these little pockets of intimacy: alone they never amount to much, but it's the sum of them, and the sum of the years, it becomes heavy. Word by word, nothing they have ever said to each other is alarming. If you put them together, all the conversations they had, it's an entire lifetime nobody else can touch.

It starts (maybe, maybe even before that) when they are sixteen and James is adamant that they should get on, and he leaves them alone for a whole afternoon in London before Christmas, shopping. It rains. Lily's hair is full of rain. Sirius doesn't own an umbrella. They share hers. The air feels like the noise between songs in an old record.

In their last year at school Sirius sprains his ankle at Quidditch practice. He is a big boy but there's a whole tradition of having a friend accompany you to the infirmary. James is in detention (Head Boy and in detention, really, Lily had rolled her eyes) and Remus and Peter are studying in the library. Lily is a friend, he guesses. Sirius puts his arm around her shoulder and she helps him walk. He jokes the whole way through (seemingly endless, it really bloody hurts) corridors and Lily laughs heartily. The jokes are very bad but she laughs nonetheless.

Before she even moves in with James: she is there in the flat all the time. James is making tea and they are alone in the living room. She is barefoot and Sirius tries to tickle her. The way her hair falls over her face.

Her wedding: Sirius hugs her before they go in the church. She can feel his breath on her shoulder. Sunlight.

He breaks three fingers on a mission: his own wand acting up after repelling a Death Eater's crucio. Sirius wins but. His fingers. Before somebody else from the Order arrives to help Lily knees in front of him and holds his hand in hers. She is good with charms. But before that – before the possibility of healing, because Sirius thinks it doesn't really matter anymore – the sudden warm of her fingers in the pitch-dark night.

Sirius holds the baby in his arms: she says thank you because she hasn't slept in days, James gone on a mission and war all around them and at the edges of this their carefully dreamed-into-life world. She brushes her hands against the back of his neck for a moment before falling asleep there on the couch, niched against Sirius's body as if he could protect her and Harry from anything, any harm. And I will, he swears.

The wand at his throat digs in a little harder. "Password. Now."

"Dittany." He chokes on the word and the wand and at the feel of her breath on his cheek. Its disgusting what she can do to him. Bile should rise in his throat at the mere thought of touching her and yet.... Bruises are already forming on his shoulder blades and she is so close and it isn't his bile that's rising.

She's noticed, he can tell she's noticed, there's a moment when she stiffens against him and he is glad, so glad, that all he can see is the celling.

Then her leg is forced between his and she grinds upwards and he loses his breath.

"And who's on patrol tonight." Her voice is a blade slicing through silk. He wants....

Her other hand clenches round his ear and his head is pulled to face her. Pain scours his neck but his dick doesn't care. He can see her. Eyes, mouth, hair.

"Answer me." He dregs the information up from somewhere and its only when he runs out of words that he remembers that his arms are free.

He grabs her hips - God what an arse - and pulls her closer. More pressure. At his throat, his ear, his crotch. Her eyes widen. But the curse doesn't come.

Instead her mouth. Their teeth knock and he can taste blood. But he needs this, needs the cold wall and the wand at his throat. The weight of her pressing into him. Possessing him. Her tongue seems to have taken over his mouth and he can hear himself keening at the back of his tortured throat.

She pulls out and away.

There is one breathless moment. The blood in his ears pounds out the silence. Her mouth is puffed red. She wipes it. Then turns and walks away.
